A. Names & Images
- Names or Images associated with a Player, Guild, or Shop that are Profane (bad language), insulting, racist, drug related, radically right-wing, and/or vulgar are forbidden. This includes but not limited to the use of slang/profanity, L33T speak, or anything found to be inappropriate by the game staff.
- Shop Names must be in English and stay within the bounds of the shop name box.
B. Behavior
- In Game communication should be acceptable at all times
- Please be respectful of other players. Threatening, scamming, or extorting other players is not permitted.
- Attempting to impersonate other persons, including but not limited to employees, representatives or hosts of Metin-2 is prohibited.
- Politically extreme, illegal, racist, pornographic, or otherwise inappropriate statements are forbidden in the game.
- Defrauding, harassing, threatening, causing distress, or unwanted attention to other players is prohibited.
C. In Game Chat
- Profanity is not allowed in chat at anytime, this includes but not limited to avoiding the profanity filter i.e. using l337 or "." to write profanity, abbreviations are acceptable i.e. OMG, WTF
- Sharing of GM commands is not permitted in any chat.
- Language
3.1 The official language in all the Metin2.co.uk services is English; this includes but is not limited to: Game Server, Board, and IRC official chat-rooms.
3.2 Non-English chat is prohibited in Normal and Call Chat.
3.3 Non-English chat is tolerated in PM if both parties consent.
3.4 All communications with the Game Staff must be in English.
- Spam
4.1 Spamming is prohibited
4.2 Repeatedly sending of messages or nonsensical characters in the Call, Local, or Normal chats is considered spamming.

This would be considered as spamming call/local chat and a violation against the rules.
- Other
5.1 The posting of links other than those pointing to our servers, site, or board is prohibited.
5.2 Providing information to players on cheats, hacks, or bugs with the intent that they be used is prohibited
5.3 Marketing, promoting, or advertising or any other form of solicitation in the Game or through its Web Site or Forum is forbidden.
D. Real Life Threats
- Implying that you are going to locate and harm another player, team member, Game Forge representative, or any person that might be related in any way to any of the game services is forbidden.
E. Hacking, Bug Using, & Cheating
- Manipulating the Client in any way is strictly forbidden. Use of any software for Metin2 that is not distributed by GameForge4D is prohibited.
- Using any piece of software to run the game without human interaction or regard to the content displayed is prohibited. Every click sent to the game servers must come from a live person, not an automated system or script.
ALL Accounts found to be benefiting from such programs will be subject to a ban.
- Bugs, loopholes, security flaws, or any inconsistencies in the game should be immediately reported in the GM Staff. Using any such bugs, loopholes, flaws or inconsistencies in any manner which gives you or others an advantage is prohibited.
- "Trade Wars" :: Players are forbidden to war with another guild in order to transfer items/pots whilst playing in areas that require to an item to enter i.e. Spider Cave 2 and Grotto of Exile.
- "Guild Wars" Players are not permitted to disrupt the normal gameplay during a war i.e. staying stuck in inaccessable areas, running around the map constantly to avoid being killed for an excessive amount of time.
- "Guild Wars" Manipulation of guild rank is not permitted.
F. Password Scavenging
- Requesting that other users share their passwords with you is prohibited.
G. Selling/Buying of Accounts Or Game Items
- The selling/buying of game accounts, currency, items or any virtual goods on the server for real money is prohibited. Accounts may be gifted to another player only, with consent of the gamestaff through the ticketsystem. The trade of game accounts, items or yangs against other virtual goods (game accounts, items or yangs) is not supported by the team , and the gamestaff does not offer any support in those cases.
H. Account Data - The Game Team will never ask you for account data or the password for your account.
- Each player is responsible for keeping their account data secret.
- Each account owner is responsible for the actions taken on their accounts at all times. This means that if anyone logs into your account you are held responsible.
- Keep your Account ID, Email password and account password secure at all times. We highly recommend that you change your password often using alpha and numeric characters.
- Account loss issue due to general theft, hacking, or scamming on accounts that can be identified as having been shared will not be investigated by the Game Team. The Game Team will only investigate complaints and take the necessary action if undisputable evidence can be found.
- The Game Team will not replace stolen items.
- Accounts not legally transferred will not be subject to an investigation.
I. Player submitted Evidence
- Players must submit a ticket
1.1 Email address has to match the registered email of the player submitting the Screenshot.
1.2 The IP should match the reportees regular logged IP.
1.3 The ticket must come from the registered account of the person reporting, if the above does not match then the ticket is invalid and will not be used.
1.4 Duplicate Screenshots will not be used and any attempt to abuse this will be taken seriously and could result in a ban.

2.1 Must be full screen
2.2 Must not have been edited or modified in any way
2.3 Must have the submitting players name and coordinates highlighted in the mini map
2.4 Must be reported immediately via the ticket system
J. Game Staff Interaction
- The Game Staff are not allowed to give items or money to players.
- The Game Staff are not allowed to hold anything for you.
- The Game Staff are not allowed to help you level characters
- The Game Staff are not allowed to spawn monster, unless as part of a sanctioned event.
- The Game Staff are not allowed join guilds or parties.
- Asking the Game Staff to do any of the above is prohibited and could result in a mute or ban.
- The instructions and decisions of the Game Team are to be respected.
- PMs from a member of staff MUST be answered or it may be assumed that a person is not behind the game-play and could result in a ban.

These rules may be changed at any time and two weeks notice will be given in advance of any rules change.
